A Fine English Louis XVI-Style Ebony Amboyna Sèvres and Bronze-Mounted Bonheur du Jour 19th c. London the desk fitted with drawers and adjustable writing surface shaped shelves below overall guilloche mounts centered with floral rosettes a superstructure of cabinets featuring oval portraits of Mme. de Pompadour and Princesse Lamhalle the fluted chamfered sides with beaded leafwork pendants flanking bronzes of Molière and Shakespeare atop foliate plinths fluted legs with ferrules.

Note: The preponderance of finely burled amboyna veneer and cabinet details are indicative of a high-style London cabinet maker.
